Office of the Executive Senior Vice President
The University of Wisconsin System is a statewide system of 13 four-year campuses, 13 two-year campuses and a statewide Extension. The UW System enrolls 160,000 students. The position of Executive Senior Vice President was created in 2005 following a recommendation resulting from an independent review of the UW System's administrative structure.
The Executive Senior Vice President serves as the chief operating officer of the UW System and reports to the President. The position is responsible for overall strategic planning, management, and guidance of operational aspects of the UW System Administration. The Executive Senior Vice President oversees the following functions:
